Welcome to SOAR – Scouts of all Ranks

Two nights of camping at beautiful Lavonia Crest. The Cuboree and The Bridge (Combined = SOAR) will be open to all Cub Scout Packs, Scouts BSA Troops and Venture Crews, and Explorer Posts! There is a lot of fun awaiting you this Fall.

Cuboree – Lions thru Bears

On Saturday, station to station, Cub Scouts will enjoy Shooting Sports, Games and other activities! We need den leaders to guide the Cubs to their Stations and we need Station Leaders! Packs will cook together for all meals except lunch on Saturday

The Bridge - Webelos, AoLs, with Scouts BSA up thru Second Class

The Bridge Patrols will experience basic skills such as first aid, knots and lashings, fire starting, sanitation and cooking, leadership and teamwork, We also have informative stations such as Axe yard, backpack cooking, and more. There will be some competitive stations as well such as 3-Gun style Shooting Sports (with BB’s, Archey and Slingshots). Patrols will be guided by a “Troop Guide” and an “Assistant Scoutmaster”. Patrols will cook together breakfast and supper on Saturday. Youth will camp with their units but work together as a patrol the rest of the weekend.

Staff - Older Scouts, Leaders and Parents

We need older Scouts to help run the stations for both the Cuboree and the Bridge. Lion and Tiger Parents must stay with their Cubs. Parents of Webelos and AOLs will have a chance to be their own patrol to attend the stations to learn about what their Scouts will be doing once they cross over to the Troops. Troops will cook all meals together except lunch on Saturday. Bring your unit’s trailer as we will have a “Trailor Rodeo” …a tour of trailers to share knowledge about the best designs, organization techniques and maintenance tips! Oh…and no ground fires as we do not want to burn their beautiful grass! Portable fire pits (off ground) and grills are acceptable.
