BALOO - Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation
BALOO - Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation is an outdoor skills training program for a Cub Scout Leader/parent. Every Pack must have at least one adult who has completed this course and is in attendance in order to do independent Pack camping (not at a Council or District event).
Prerequisite: There is an on-line prerequisite that must be taken before you arrive. Follow these steps: go to your my.scouting.org account; under Menu click on My Dashboard, My Training, Training Center, Cub Scouting, Supplemental Training, BALOO Prerequisite Training, Expanded Learning, BALOO (there are 8 modules to complete – be sure to print your certificate and bring it with you).
Time: Check-in on Friday night between 6:00-7:30 This will give you time to set up your tent. Please bring a bag supper. We will have a couple of evening sessions beginning at 8:00. Keep in mind that you will need time to move your gear. Training should be completed by 12pm on Sunday.

Registration: Registration ends September 27. No refunds after September 27, and fees are not transferable. We look forward to having you join us for this fun (and educational) weekend. You’ll be meeting other leaders from the across the Daniel Boone Council and sharing ideas with them for Pack success.
Equipment: Please bring your own overnight camping gear. Meals will be provided as part of the training experience.
