WHAT:   Trainer's EDGE is the second “train the trainer” course offered by BSA and is aimed at participants who have completed Fundamentals of Training (BSA’s first introductory “train the trainer” course) or who have other experience teaching. The course teaches methods to improve training and presentation skills and allows the participants to receive feedback while they practice the EDGE training model (Explain, Demonstrate, Guide and Enable).

WHO: Trainer’s EDGE is required for Wood Badge staff and NYLT staff and is recommended for all Scouts and Scout leaders who conduct any type of training and are interested in improving their training and presentation skills.

WHEN:  Saturday, June 11, 2022 (Check-in: 8:00-8:30am – Close: 4:00pm)

WHERE:  Daniel Boone Council Service Center, Asheville, NC

COST:  $5.00                                                              UNIFORM:  Scout Uniform

REGISTRATION:  Registration deadline is Wednesday, June 9, 2022.  Please register below or contact the Scout Office:    828- 254-6189   with your credit  card or mail in a check.

** Participants Pre-course Assignment:**   Be Prepared to present a 10-minute long presentation to your team and staff on a Scouting topic of your choice using flipchart, table-top notebook-flipchart, note cards, felt board or similar tools. Whiteboards and markers will be available. Bring any needed materials, equipment or props you will need for the presentation to the course.  Presentations must include a visual aid. You will receive feedback on your presentation. (Feedback is a Gift…It Truly Is!)
