Archery, BB Riflery, Crafts, Games, Sports, Water Fun, Nature, and plenty of surprises.
Simply fill out the application and send in to the Council Service Center in Asheville.

Registration Fees:

Early Bird Registration (through May 11, 2018) $70

2nd Cub Scout in the same family $60

***Cub’s discount for parent on staff -$15

Tag-Along (See below) $35

Late Registration (May 12-May 25) $85

***Parents must be on staff for at least 3 days and attend Staff Training – discount for only 1 child

 

Our Tag-Along program is for the children of Day Camp volunteers only. Children must be at least entering 1st grade.

 

Cub Scouts can invite a friend to enjoy day camp fun and learn about Scouting! All boys wishing to participate as a SCOUT who are not already registered with a Pack must pay a May $18.00 registration fee (to accompany a BSA Scout Application) or $19.25 for a June registration, the Day Camp registration fee, and the Day Camp Registration form (found attached).

 

ADULTS – we need your help to provide a quality camp. Our camp is 100% staffed by volunteers. ALL volunteers must complete online Youth Protection Training and Weather Hazard Training at www.myscouting.org, and then provide a certificate of completion with expiration date. Please make sure to fill out the Volunteer registration form (no fee). Leaders and volunteers are expected to attend Day Camp Leader Training Saturday, May 26 as well as ‘set up’ on Sunday, June 17th, starting at 2pm.

Parent Information: Camp will be held at Holly Springs Baptist Church in Franklin. Camp is from 8:45AM-4:00PM Monday through Thursday. Pick up is at 4:00PM sharp! Friday will start at 8:45AM with the closing ceremony and awards from 1:00-2:30PM. Please stay after to help with breaking down camp, cleaning up, and to practice “Leave No Trace” principles. Daily schedules will be assigned by scout rank/age to each den. Each den will have leadership two-deep.

 

Tigers (rising 1st graders) – According to BSA policy, each Tiger Scout must be accompanied by a parent or guardian partner at all times during Scout activities. Therefore, this adult must attend camp every day and must fill out a separate registration (there is no parent fee).

 

EVERYONE IN ATTENDANCE MUST COMPLETE SECTION A and B of the BSA Medical Form enclosed (also found on the Council website: www.danielboonecouncil.org). Please note: review and sign the media release on Part A.
PLEASE REMEMBER:

 

  • All Scouts must be signed in each morning at the Registration table. Each Scout must be signed out by the same adult unless prior arrangements are made in writing and turned in to the Den Leader.
  • Everyone wears their official class B camp T-shirt daily; no flip flops/crocks/sandals/shoes w/wheels.
  • Everyone brings their own lunch that does NOT require refrigerator on site. Snacks/water provided.
  • Apply sunscreen at home daily before camp and send extra for the week. Don’t forget your hat!
  • All items should be marked with your Scout’s name and Pack number.
  • Medications must be in original container, brought daily by adult, and given to the Camp Medic.
  • Rain gear – we have fun rain or shine!
  • Back-pack each day for their gear and projects.
  • Your Scout will earn achievements at camp. The records will be given to each Cubmaster in August.
  • Do NOT allow your Scouts to bring knives, toys, valuables, electronic, or battery operated devices.
