What is a Scout Show?

A "Scout Show" is an event organized by a local Scouting America Council or District where Cub Scout Packs, Scouts BSA Troops, and Venture Crews come together to demonstrate Scouting skills, sometimes also called Scout Expos or Scout-O-Rama. 

Purpose:

Scout Shows are designed to:

• Showcase Scouting skills and activities to the public, promoting the benefits of Scouting.
• Provide Cub Scouts with a broader view of Scouting beyond their Den and Pack.
• Offering a unique display of Scouting traditions, games, outdoor programs, and community vendors.
• Units that participate will receive an additional 5% commission for their popcorn sales this year! 

Activities

Activity selection for units will be confirmed in order of units registration. These events typically feature:

• Live demonstrations and exhibits conducted by Scouts of all ages.
• Special events from other community organizations and businesses.
• Council-wide events like Pinewood Derby.
• Here is a helpful resource for activities your unit could sign up for, although it is not limited to this list of options. 

General agenda for the day

• 7:00 AM - Start setting up booths.
• 10:00 AM - Scout Show Shindig - (similar to a campfire program, or party).
• 11 AM - 3 PM - SCOUT SHOW BOOTHS - Ideally, units have all the Scouts present during the day, rotating who is managing their booth, and the other Scouts (and leaders) could be exploring the other booths and activities that are available. 
• 3 PM - Start to pack-up.
