Calling all Leaders, Scouts, Cubs and Crews!

It’s time to represent scouting and our Daniel Boone Council by marching in the 2023 Asheville Holiday Parade! This year, we will have a float for all scouts from the Daniel Boone Council.  

Packs and Troops who will be participating are asked to register on the form below for insurance liability purposes by November 15th. Please include your Pack/Troop number, the number of Youth participants estimated, the number of Adult participants estimated, and a unit contact email. 

Meet at the Scout Office, by 9:30 am Saturday morning November 18th and we will travel as a group to our Parade. Please dress appropriately as November mornings can be crisp and cool. We will start walking over to the Parade at 9:45 am. Scouts and Registered Leaders are strongly encouraged to be in uniform for the parade! Once the parade is over, join us in the Scout Shop parking lot for Hot Chocolate! 

This is an excellent opportunity to promote our district, scouting and potentially recruit new youth into Scouting.  Please forward this note to all of your units, parents and scouts. Units are encouraged to make invite cards (business card size) as long as they are attached to a piece of candy! Please spread the word and we look forward to seeing everyone Saturday Morning!
