The purpose of the Fundamentals of Training course is to help Scouts and Scouters, regardless of experience, identify effective training methods for a variety of purposes.  It will help those who might have training skills for other organizations learn Scouting America's training techniques.  It will also help freshen up skills of current trainers.  The purpose of the Trainers EDGE course is to learn and practice the platform skills of a trainer and meant to supplement what was learned in Fundamentals of Training. You must bring a prepared 10 minute presentation to complete requirements for this training.

Many of you may have taken the "Trainer's EDGE" course, but there are new updates for the course which may be very helpful.  Scouting America has new requirements for all to take both of these courses if you will be staffing a future Wood Badge or NYLT Course.  This training day will include both of these courses - one may be new to you and the other a good refresher!
