On May 2nd Camp Daniel Boone will host a weekend Wilderness First Aid Course. The program will be held at Vance Lodge beginning with check-in Friday evening and graduation Sunday afternoon. Recent Philmont changes now require every trek to have at least one wilderness first aid certified person in the crew. It is also a great course for unit leaders and others who spend time in the back country with your troop or crew, or alone. The course is not limited to scouters, but is limited to 20 participants. Must have 7 participants to run the course. Certification is the the Haywood County Chapter of the American Red Cross Cost of the course is $100.
