Camp Card Sale set to begin on February 25th
By 7 on 02/15/2011
The 2011 Camp Cards will be available starting February 25th at the Council Service Center.
Due to delays in printing, we are getting started a few weeks behind the desired date of February 1. With this in mind we will extend the end time of the sale until May 15th, 2011. Cards will be available at the service center starting February 25th and will also be available at all district roundtable meetings in March and April.
This card will retail for $5 each and the scout selling the card will earn $2.50 in profit to be set aside within their Pack, Troop or Crew specifically to help pay their camping fees. The card can be sold from February 1, 2011 through May 15, 2011. The card will include discount coupons from great businesses such as K-Mart, Fun Depot, Diamond Brand, The Asheville Tourists, Mast General Store and the Nantahala Outdoor Center.
The card is offered at a very affordable $5.00 price and purchasers will make their donation back if they use the card even once for a purchase. The card also is a ticket to visit the 2011 Castaway Odyssey at Camp Daniel Boone on May 21, 2011. Units that wish to participate in the Camp Card Program are encouraged to register online. Those units registering online will be given first access to the 15,000 cards printed. Up to 90% of the cards signed out can be returned. Cost to the unit is $2.50 per card, and all cards need to be returned or paid for no later than May 20, 2011.
